Attorneys and Accountants

With the chaotic economy and the turbulent markets of the past two years, there are undoubtedly many investors who feel they have not been well served by the investment mangers to whom they entrusted their assets.  As some of these individuals and institutions seek relief through the courts or other appropriate means, there will be a growing need for experienced investment professionals to serve as expert witnesses.

Whether the resulting litigation is pursued in the courts or through arbitration, mediation or some other adjudicating body, attorneys and accountants will very likely be searching for investment professionals in a position to testify.  The ideal candidate would be an individual with literally decades of “hands-on” investment management experience who can draw upon a lifetime of accumulated knowledge and judgment to lend credibility to testimony presented.

With this in mind, it would be useful to carefully examine the resume of Stephen K. Kent, Jr., CFA, CIC, the founder of Kent Investment Consulting, LLC. which can be found elsewhere on this web site.  In brief, this individual has been actively engaged in the investment management profession since 1960 and capped off his career with Northern Trust Value Investors where he served as Senior Vice President and Chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee. His background covers positions with banks, insurance companies and investment management firms in which he held various positions including equity and fixed income research, portfolio management, chief economist and chief investment strategist.

Now retired from a full time position but actively involved in an investment consulting practice, Stephen Kent is ideally suited to provide expert testimony in all types of litigation.  Please contact him to discuss your specific needs and to determine whether his background and experience would be of use in your current case.
